About 60-70% of our body is composed of water. I recently learned that 90% of our blood is water.
That's why it is recommended to drink 8 glasses of 80z water each day to stay hydrated and keep our body functioning properly. Drinking that much water daily easier said than done though for some of us isn't it?
I get caught up in a million and one things at any given moment, I actually forget to drink water throughout the day. Can anybody relate?
Water acts as a cushion and natural lubricant for our joints, muscles and organs.
Aid's in healthier skin and weight loss.
I also notice that I have less headaches with drinking more water. This is because the water helps carry oxygen flow through my body.
While drinking water during your meal is not recommended, drinking water before/after is great because it will help curb your appetite and also flush bodily waste properly.
Water is the main piece in creating and maintaining saliva in our mouth. If you notice that your mouth is drier than usual, try drinking more water.
Lastly, regular water intake helps in preventing more serious health concerns/diseases down the line.
I find these facts more than enough a reason for me to get my water intake increased. I literally set an alarm on my phone to remind me to drink water... starting from 8am-8pm. Some of you may laugh but it works. Not to mention it forces me to pause what I am doing for a moment and take a breather.
Buying a nice water bottle, convenient to carry around and put in my car and take into meetings also further encourages me to keep the water near me. I have way too many water bottles at home now.
How much water have YOU had to drink today?
Hello, I’m usually not a big fan of sharing with the public but this is not normal times! I am so proud of USK as a company, as friends, and as a big part of our family. Everything y’all have done to stay connected with us and still provide us with classes has been amazing and so appreciated. It meant so much to me as a mom that y’all made the belt test happen, but even more to Amelia. She has worked so hard to earn her greenbelt and it has been a daily topic of conversation around her for months! Today to see the pride in her face as she tested for you and then read your email, it was truly wonderful. So again thank you so much for all that you do!
Sincerely, Erin Schmid
